Before the Babe earned his nickname “The Great Bambino” Ruth was an exceptional pitcher for the Boston Red Sox. His pitching stats, like his offensive stats were one of the best in the league, finishing his career at an impressive 94-46 with a 2.28 ERA in 163 games.

Not only was he an ace during the regular season, The Babe threw a record 29 2/3 consecutive scoreless World Series innings.
